Silver Sage Foundation 2011 “Wine & Art” Train

You're invited to be part of the First Annual Silver Sage Foundation Wine & Art Train Reception on Saturday, May 21st, 2011 between 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at:

 

Nevada State Railroad Museum

800 Yucca Street

Boulder City, NVĀ  89005

 

Train Boarding 5:30 p.m.

Train Departs 6 p.m.

Train Returns 8 p.m.


Experience a real train excursion, enjoy artwork by local and regional artists, while watching the sun set. Raffle and silent auction will take place inside the train.

Enjoy the food, wine, and entertainment!

Adult Ticket Fare: $25


Fare includes round trip train excursion, food, wine, and raffle entry.Ā  All ticket proceeds go toward the Silver Sage Foundation Scholarship Fund benefiting high school students in the visual and culinary arts.

Spring Art Show

The Rustic Living Spring Art Show is an annual event open to the public. The event/reception features art work from a variety of local Southwest and regional artists - with several new additions. The location serves as a yearlong gallery (Viva Southwest Galleries).

 

This event will feature Navajo Impressionist, Virgil Nez and Lynn Bean, who is well known for her trail of the painted ponies series.

Food will be provided by the Green Valley High School Culinary Arts Class (ProStart) under the direction of Phyllis Langlois. The program was recognized by Sullivan University as one of the "TOP 100" high schools in the Nation for our culinary participation.

 

Entertainment is provided by Native American flute player, John Bear.

Flute Workshop

Wednesday, January 5, 12, 19, 26, February 2, 9, 16, 23 (2011)

6:00 PM to 7:00 PM

 

Rustic Living is holding a Flute Workshop starting Wednesday, January 5, 2011 at 6 p.m. The workshop will continue for 8 consecutive weeks - each class lasting one hour long. Fee: $10 per person / per week.

 

New class will be held in March (please call 702.558.7004 for more information).

Holiday Sale & Art Show

Sugar Skull Decorating Class

Held October 23, 2010

 

Rustic Living would like to thank those who participated in the 2nd Annual Sugar Skull class. All the skulls created were amazing (see pictures below)! The Sugar Skull class is held each October. This year's winning sugar skull (see picture above) will have its image printed on a shirt for the winner. The image will also be used throughout the year to promote our Dia de los Muertos collection.
